Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Solinth Analytics Engine ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

By using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy.

2. Service Description

Solinth Analytics Engine is a correlation and attribution platform that connects multiple data sources to provide unified business intelligence. Our Service includes:

  • Analytics Engine: Real-time correlation of metrics across 35+ data sources
  • Custom Metrics API: Create and manage custom business metrics
  • Integration Hub: OAuth-based connections to third-party services
  • Webhook Processing: Real-time data ingestion from external systems
  • Dashboard Builder: Custom visualization and reporting tools
  • AI Insights: Machine learning-powered recommendations
  • Team Collaboration: Multi-user workspaces with role-based access

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account with us, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
  • Ensure all users within your organization comply with these Terms

Account Security

We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and using unique, strong passwords. You are responsible for safeguarding API keys and access tokens.

4. API Usage Terms

Access to our APIs is subject to the following terms and conditions:

4.1 Rate Limits

  • Free Tier: 100 requests/minute, 1,000 requests/day
  • Pro Tier: 1,000 requests/minute, 50,000 requests/day
  • Enterprise: Custom limits based on agreement

Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent API access suspension.

4.2 API Keys & Authentication

  • API keys are confidential and must not be shared or exposed publicly
  • Keys found in public repositories will be automatically revoked
  • You must use HTTPS for all API requests
  • OAuth tokens expire after 1 hour; refresh tokens after 30 days

4.3 Custom Metrics API

  • Maximum 100 custom metrics per organization (Pro), 500 (Enterprise)
  • Metric names must be unique within your organization
  • Data points are retained according to your plan's retention policy
  • Bulk ingestion limited to 10,000 data points per request

4.4 Prohibited API Usage

  • Automated scraping or data harvesting
  • Circumventing rate limits through multiple accounts
  • Reselling API access without authorization
  • Using the API to build a competing service
  • Storing or transmitting malicious code

5. Third-Party Integrations

Our Service connects to third-party platforms through OAuth and API integrations. By connecting these services, you acknowledge:

5.1 Authorization

  • You authorize Solinth to access data from connected services on your behalf
  • You have the authority to grant such access within your organization
  • Access permissions can be revoked at any time through Settings

5.2 Data Synchronization

  • We sync data at intervals determined by your plan (15min to real-time)
  • Historical data import may be limited by third-party API restrictions
  • We are not responsible for data accuracy from third-party sources
  • Third-party API changes may temporarily affect integration functionality

5.3 Supported Integrations

Third-Party Terms

Your use of third-party integrations is also subject to those services' terms of service and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their terms before connecting.

6. Webhook Data Handling

Our Service receives and processes webhook data from connected integrations:

6.1 Webhook Security

  • All webhooks are verified using cryptographic signatures
  • Webhook endpoints use HTTPS with TLS 1.3
  • Failed webhook deliveries are retried with exponential backoff
  • Webhook secrets are unique per integration and can be rotated

6.2 Data Processing

  • Webhook payloads are processed in real-time
  • Raw payloads are retained for 7 days for debugging
  • Processed data is stored according to your retention policy
  • Sensitive fields are automatically redacted from logs

6.3 Outbound Webhooks

  • You can configure webhooks to receive alerts and notifications
  • Outbound webhooks include HMAC signatures for verification
  • Failed deliveries are retried up to 5 times over 24 hours
  • Webhook endpoints must respond within 30 seconds

7. Data Ownership & Processing

Your Data Remains Yours

You retain all rights to your data. We process your data solely to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.

7.1 Data Processing

  • We process data to provide analytics, correlations, and insights
  • Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to improve our Service
  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • Data is processed in accordance with GDPR and applicable laws

7.2 Data Retention

  • Free: 30 days of historical data
  • Pro: 1 year of historical data
  • Enterprise: Custom retention up to 7 years
  • Deleted data is purged within 30 days of deletion request

7.3 Data Export & Portability

  • You can export your data at any time in CSV or JSON format
  • Full data exports are available within 24 hours of request
  • API access allows programmatic data retrieval
  • Upon account termination, you have 30 days to export data

8. Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis:

  • Prices are displayed in USD and subject to applicable taxes
  • Annual subscriptions receive a 20% discount
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on file
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension after 7 days
  • Price changes are communicated 30 days in advance
  • Refunds are provided pro-rata for annual plans within 14 days

New users receive a 14-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card required to start. You will be notified before any charges.

9. Service Level Agreement

10. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Engage in data mining or scraping without authorization
  • Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Circumvent security measures or access controls

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account termination without refund.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Solinth and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without permission
  • "Solinth" and our logo are registered trademarks
  • Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without compensation
  • You retain ownership of content you create using the Service

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLINTH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be disabled
  • You may export your data within 30 days
  • After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted
  • Pro-rata refunds available for annual plans terminated within 14 days
  • We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice

Data Deletion

Upon request, we will delete all your data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days and in anonymized form for analytics.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending an email notification for material changes
  • Displaying an in-app notification

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

For users in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence.
